It’s official, our Prudential California Realty office in Montecito is going to be one of the first offices in the nation to go under the new branding for luxury real estate with one of the the most prestigious and recognized names in the world, BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY HOME SERVICES®. Yes, Warren Buffett’s company! We have always been an affiliate of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.® (BRK/A) through Berkshire’s HomeServies of America Inc.® . unit, but up until now no real estate company in the nation has been honored to be able to use the BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY® name. We will be one of the first. The company is working on our new logo and marketing materials that will be rolled out over the next few months.

You may recall that in July Warren Buffett predicted that the U.S. home market was starting to improve and he gave a very optimistic outlook for real estate. And as predicted housing prices rose 2 percent in August from a year earlier, the biggest gain since July 2010 according to S&P/Case-Shiller index of property values in 20 U.S. cities. We are also seeing inventory dropping coupled with near record low interest rates continung, making it a good market for both buyers and sellers. The future looks bright!
